A boy was standing in the class, and the whole class was clapping for him. He got 9 out of 10 in the weekly test. His name was Andrew. A boy was silently watching everything on the last bench. His name was Alex, who always got zero marks on tests. Everyone called him Zero.
After class, he goes to the Teacher and tells her that he also wants to get marks like that boy.
The teacher smiled and said, "It’s interesting."
She told him,You can get good marks like him, but for this, you have to do as I say.
Alex shouted, "Yes, ma’am, I will do exactly as you say."
The teacher asked him, "How many hours do you study?"
Alex lowered his face.
She called Andrew and asked him, "How many hours do you study?"
He replied, "one hour, ma’am."
The teacher said, "Okay, you can go now."
And told Alex that from today onwards, he will have to study for one hour every day.
Alex said, "okay, ma’am, I will."
And started studying for one hour every day. The next weekly test was held.
Guess how many points Alex scored?
Zero, yes again he scored zero.
He went to the teacher and told him that I did as you told me, but still I got zero marks.
The teacher said, "Do one thing, study for two hours every day this week."
Alex nodded and left.
The next test took place, and guess how many marks he scored this time?
He scored two marks.
He went back to the teacher and told her that this time I studied for two hours but still could not get good marks.
Teacher smiled and said, "It doesn’t matter whether you get good marks or not. The only thing that matters is that you tried. Do one thing, start studying for 3 hours from today."
Alex looked at him mysteriously and nodded.
The last weekly test of the class was conducted.
Guess how many marks he got this time?
His score was zero.
He went back to the teacher and said with tearful eyes, "I studied very hard, but why couldn’t I perform well in the exam?"
The teacher wiped his tears and said, "Well, Alex, I think everyone is right that you can never get more than zero marks. I’m sorry, but you have to give up hope of getting the highest score."
And she leaves.
Alex started crying bitterly.
Went home and cried for an hour.
He wiped tears and remembered what her teacher had told him, "It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose; all that matters is that you tried.
Alex said, "And I will try."
He again started studying for 3 hours daily.
Annual examination was held. Alex was sitting in a corner of the class. Teacher came and announced the results of each student, and finally, she announced the name of the topper.
Alex has got the highest marks.
The whole class was looking at Alex in surprise.
Yes, it was Alex who got ten out of ten, a boy who never got more than zero.
It doesn’t matter what you are; it matters who you want to be. If you have decided to achieve something, it is because you have the ability to achieve it. It will be hidden initially but will become visible once you start working on it. Hard work may not give results in the initial stages, but it will definitely show results later.
“ Hard Work always pays off. ”
